Service Description

Depigmentation Peel The market is inundated with various anti-aging chemical peels created for nearly all skin types and tones, but not all peels will produce the same results. Among the newest chemical peels available at Juvenex Esthetics is the Depigmentation Peel, which is a powerful tool to manage melisma, hyperpigmentation, and scarred or blotchy skin. This singular chemical treatment is a compound of ingredients engineered to diminish hyperpigmentation and skin discoloration, which are caused by melanin. This peel inhibits an enzyme called Tyrosinase to lessen your skin’s natural melanin production, leading to a more even complexion. Melasma is one type of discoloration; often caused by hormonal shifts, it is marked by gray or brown areas on the chin, cheeks, nose, and other areas of the face and body. Chloasma, which is related to melasma, is sometimes called the “mask of pregnancy.” Both melasma and chloasma can be erased with this peel. This peel also corrects acne by lessening the skin’s oil production. BENEFITS OF THE DEPIGMENTATION PEEL -Diminishes hyperpigmentation and dark spots -Effectively treats melasma and chloasma -Very little discomfort -Fast results -Can be used on all skin types -Side effects are few and minor -Can be used on face, hands, abdomen, breasts/nipples, and legs AN IDEAL CANDIDATE FOR THE TREATMENT This treatment can be safely used on all skin types and tones, so most anyone who wants to even out their complexion can be right for it. The treatment’s risks and benefits will be discussed in more detail at your consultation appointment. AN IDEAL CANDIDATE WOULD: -Be healthy -Understand the treatment process and its follow-up care requirements -Have reasonable expectations of their results The Depigmentation Peel is a treatment in two stages. The first stage is the stimulating mask that will be applied in our Aesthetic Center, which takes under an hour. In the second stage, you will continue to apply prescribed products at home. YOU SHOULD NOT RECEIVE THIS TREATMENT IF YOU ARE PREGNANT OR NURSING, IF YOU HAVE ACTIVE ROSACEA, OR IF YOU HAVE USED ACCUTANE WITHIN THE LAST SIX MONTHS. *Before the treatment, you will have a private consultation with a Juvenex Esthetics expert esthetician during which your skin’s texture, tone, and structure of your face will be evaluated.
